Bleed There is no extra price for bleed and non-bleed business cards. Standard bleed is 1/8 inch. If you are designing a non-bleed card, a good practice is to keep all elements at least 1/8 inch from the edge of the card. more on bleeds... | | File Resolution You should scan all images at 300 dpi at the size they are going to be used. Lineart images should be scanned at least 600 dpi at the size they are going to be used. All final design files should be CMYK (not RGB mode! - click here for detailed info) and should be in TIFF, EPS format or PSD Photoshop format. TIFF (.tif) is BY FAR the preferrable format for our printing purposes. If you do not have access to a scanner, you can design your card with a placeholder for the picture and have us scan the picture for a fee.Sending Files The easiest way to get your files to us is to compress/zip them and email them to us here. Alternately, you can send us your files on a 100 or 250 MB Zip drive, or a standard floppy drive if you compress the files small enough. Remember: Final card design files should be in .tif (TIFF) or .eps format. We can accept .psd (Adobe Photoshop format) if necessary. View more file delivery options here. Compressing Files Gather your layout file and all associated files (scans, clipart, fonts, etc.) into a folder. Then use WinZip or Stuffit or a similar compression program to archive the entire folder. Make a self-extracting archive, if possible. If your .zip file is larger than 5 MB, please contact us to make sure our email system can handle large emails at that particular moment.
